Self-Contamination Assay

I was also working with PCR, and there was a band on the Agarose Gel electrophoresis that was not the PCR product, primers, nor the template DNA.  Since PCR is so sensitive that any human contamination would result in a PCR product, I decided to use my spit as the source of the template DNA.  It resulted that the spit did not cause the band to show up.  So, I did not contaminate the PCR reaction.
